Bad Ass Break Outs: Miles Mosley

One of my top finds of 2017, Miles Mosley is a rockin’, soul-funk upright bass player whose fourth solo album Uprising is a rousing blending of James Brown and jazz. Also known as the lead singer of the West Coast Get Down, which includes saxaphonist Kamasi Washington, Mosley has been on the music scene for a while, but with his newest album, he’s finally making the spotlight come to him.

Tracks to listen to:

Abraham – the first single, and a true banger

Young Lion – A fiery soul jam with a huge chorus you’ll want blasting from your car this summer.
