The Artist Formally Known as Vince Band (or TAFKAVince Band for short) have been kicking around the Chicago music scene for over twenty years. Originally forming in 1996, the group started regularly playing shows after the release of their 2002 album At Last. This year, the band dropped a new ep, A Problematic Opera, which kicks off with the great song “Magazine Pages”.
With rollicking guitar breakdowns, gang harmonizing on the verses, and a heap of cowbell, “Magazine Pages” sounds like a classic nugget from a 70’s power pop band. The band sound like they’re having a blast recording the track, throwing in guitar solos, enthusiastic drumming and an all-around party atmosphere. It’s simply good, feel-good music.
