Spooky season has officially begun, though there’s nothing frightening about the new music out this week. The music does have some fine Fall vibes though; take the latest album by folk artist Sufjan Stevens – the wistful songwriting here will pair lovely with falling orange leaves. Recent Comeback Alert band Dogstar have dropped their first album in two decades, and rock group Citizen has dropped a solid new release. Emo group Bewilder‘s new one is definitely worth hearing (read our review here), and World’s First Cinema‘s new EP will definitely perk up your ears. Indie rockers Yam Haus have their new EP for us, and we love Daisy the Great, so we of course have their new EP for you too.
Blink-182 are getting us more and more hyped for their new album with their latest single. Same with The Gaslight Anthem, who dropped a season-appropriate single called “Autumn”. Laura Jane Grace is back with her first new song in years, and Mike Shinoda is tying all his music history together with his latest. The great Sleater-Kinney has a new single out, and rising indie group Lovejoy is continuing their indie rock reign.
Some other familiar names with new tracks out this week (and in our list) are Hunny, Holly Humberstone, Sun Room, Beekeeper Spaceman, Vieux Farka Toure, Amigo the Devil, Course, Josh Radnor and Otto Aday. New to the list this week, we have Onoleigh, Maisy Kay, Lily Lane, All Get Out, Ben Quad, Best Ex, Mum Thinks Blue, Princess Goes, Kayla Oh and Lila Dupont.
Listen to all of these tunes and more in our New Music Friday Playlist!
