Some groups get softer with age. Judas Priest are stomping that preconceived notion under their boot heels and grinding it into the dirt. The metal legends, who were also recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, have just dropped their latest single, “Panic Attack”, and it is “banger” worthy.
The five and a half minute epic opens with electro-guitar riff that crescendos to seismic proportions. The rhythm guitar kicks into high gear, while a deep bass percussion fortunes something dark. When Rob Halford’s vocals have their barraging intro, the track unifies into everything that makes this classic metal group the bad asses they are. You’ll find yourself instantly head-banging and shredding on your air guitar throughout the bridge solo.
You should only panic if you don’t listen to this track right now in our Bangers of the Week Playlist!
