
Most of you will be out at Halloween parties this weekend, but in between your millionth time listening to “Thriller” or “Monster Mash”, there are a lot of great new releases you should definitely listen to.
The first is the long-awaited return of The Gaslight Anthem, as their new album History Books has dropped. You can then stay in the punk world by spinning the brand new one from Taking Back Sunday. Folk out for a bit with the latest by The Mountain Goats, and get your soul on with the new album by Black Pumas. Finally, the new punk supergroup The Defiant have their debut album out and the songs are too good to ignore.
Following a triumphant performance at When We Were Young, Green Day have returned with a new single and album announcement. Future Islands also announced their next album this week, while beloved indie acts like Charly Bliss, Jukebox the Ghost and Kaiser Chiefs released new songs. Speaking of beloved indie acts, Grandaddy is back, and his new single is a winner.
We The Kings remain pop punk royalty with their new jam, while The Early November are dropping a new one just before the month of their namesake. Josh Radnor continues to prove he’s just as much a musician as an actor, while Adult Leisure continue to prove they are some of the best musicians you haven’t heard of. Pepper have brought along Iration for their latest single, and Beatenberg are keeping the afropop grooves fresh.
We’ve also got the latest from Super Cassette, San Fermin, Miss Chain & The Broken Heels, S/J, Lydia Luce, Adeem the Artist, Kevin Abstract, Magnolia Park, Joyner Lucas and Kid Cudi.
