We got less than a week until Thanksgiving, but the music industry is still grinding out some notable non-holiday releases for us!
It may seem like madness that the UK’s Madness are still going strong with their unique brand of ska. You can listen to their latest album today. Choral-indie rock collective The Polyphonic Spree are back with a new album (bet a lot of you who remember seeing them on the VMAs years ago didn’t think they’d still be around, did ya?). Plain White T‘s new songs have taken some interesting turns, so the new album should be unique, and pop-rock group Walk the Moon are bidding us farewell (for now) with a surprise new album. Add in EPs from Pepper and Joystick!, and you’ll have plenty to listen to.
Jack Antoff’s Bleachers announced a album for the new year and dropped a brand new track from it. Awesome indie group Ski Lift are back with a rocking bop, while my favorite guitarist of all time, J Mascis, is back with a new solo jam. Another famed 90’s indie great, The Lemonheads, have returned with a new single, while modern indie chanteuse Madi Diaz has recruited the awesome Kacey Musgraves for her new single. H.E.R. has covered Foo Fighters, while boygenius have dropped a cover of a classic Irish song in honor of Sinead O’Connor.
Punk legends Death have dropped their first new song in ages! Harmonious, alt pop duo Lucius released a new one earlier this week, and UK pop-punkers Neck Deep are at their most political on their new anthem. We also got returning greats like Willi Carlisle, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, Bad Suns, The Vaccines, Missio, Vala, Miss Chain and the Broken Heels, Chuck Ragan, Taylor Acorn, Modern English, Jessie Wagner, John-Roberts, Wishy, Old Heavy Hands, Chaz Cardigan and Nervous Eaters.
And artists we want to highlight this week include Clementine Was Right, Dea Doyle, Hannah Cutt, Sybs, Emily Yacina, Orson Wilds, Maeve Steele, Raveen, BenBen, Dryboy, Michael Isaak, Wesley Dean, Cool Cool Cool, Oscar the Wild and Girl With a Hawk.
