Music Video: Death Valley Dreams – Leave Me Alone (feat. Crobot)

A horror-movie style chase through a corn field intensifies, culminating in a supernatural stand-off in the new video from Death Valley Dreams. The rising alternative/synth rock, formed in Pennsylvania, harness the moodiness and tones from 80’s alternative bands like Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears and The Cure, while adding a modern, stadium-ready sheen to their sound that would fit them in nicely between The Killers and The Bravery.

Their latest single, “Leave Me Alone”, features a guest spot from Crobot‘s Brandon Yeagley, and is a high-energy, macabre kiss-off. When focusing on the chorus, where the singer demands the song’s antagonist “Leave me the hell alone”, you can instantly understand why this dark, delirious chase scene felt like the best visualization of the track. With electrifying visual effects brought in for the explosive ending, it’s a stylish, atmospheric accompaniment to the anthemic song.
