Canadian folk-rockers The Strumbellas are back with their latest collection of singalong jams. More eclectic is the powerful Brittany Howard, who drops her second solo album today. Alt. folk artist Madi Diaz is quickly making a name for herself, and this new release on Anti- will only further that. UK singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich always manages to move with his music, and I’m sure this new album will be no exception. Finally, we have the debut EP from reggae/ska group The Kilograms (feat. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones‘ Joe Gittleman), and a surprise EP from past Bad Ass Break-Outs Mercy Union.
And if you like music of the folk/acoustic/americana/singer-songwriter variety, this is the Friday for you! The Decemberists are back with their first new song in years (feat. The Shins‘ James Mercer). Man of the moment Noah Kahan has dropped a new single as part of his full release of his collaboration version of Stick Season. Wild punks Mannequin Pussy continue to tease out their next album with another great song, while Les Savy Fav have returned after a long absence with a savvy new single.
