Rising from the ashes of other South Texas punk bands, Grottonaut pulls from the best melodic punk rock out there to create heavy and hard-hitting musical annihilations that will still get stuck in your head for days. So far, the band just has three singles released, and all of them hit that sweet spot between punk rock and pop-punk.
One of these sings is the absolutely rollicking “Hogs and Heifers”. The drums start things rolling with giant break-beat, while some the guitars build and build into something riotous and gorgeous. The lyrics are pure sing-along genius; “Hey everybody, I want to say I’m sorry. I wrote another tab I couldn’t pay for with my body” is just one highlight.
