Tanner Orton has been on a musical journey, developing his sound and moving towards the hard alternative rock space his latest album Brighter Days. His passion and work have clearly paid off, listening to “Coincide”.
The track is a barnburner right from the offset. Heavy drums, chugging guitar riffs, and a big, anthemic chorus. There are some nice backing vocals that make the song sound bigger, ready to fill large venues. And of course, no song like this would be complete without a slick guitar solo, which of course comes in at the bridge.
And most surprisingly, it’s a straight-up love song – “I am undeniable, unshakeable, when our love coincides”. The lyrics are clean and positive throughout – safe enough for a youth group to listen to without being admonished by their parents, yet with strong-enough hooks to please any hard rock fan.
