New Music Friday: March 15, 2024

We have an interesting mix of new albums this NMF. The reunited Black Crowes have their first album in over a decade for us, while UK power-metal band Dragonforce are hitting us with another bombastic collection. Alt country star Kacey Musgraves, hot off her Zach Bryan collaboration and SNL performance, has her latest album out. Roots rock reggae band Mad Caddies have their very-fine new album out, and finally we have the debut album by Grieving (check out our rave review of it here). Taking Meds have also released a surprise EP which we can’t ignore.

Legendary Bon Jovi is back with the first single from their new album, aptly titled “Legendary”. Tokyo Police Club have the dropped two new songs from their upcoming final album, and Willie Nelson, soon to be 91, is prepping his new album with a cover of Rodney Cromwell‘s “The Border”. Vampire Weekend are showing off the third song from their new album, as is Waxahatchee and Strung Out. And if you need some more punk/emo/alternative, there’s new tracks from Bayside, The Early November, Yester Daze, Jakob’s Castle and De’Wayne.

If you’re more into the acoustic side of music, you’ll enjoy the latest from Dustin Kensrue and Sam Barber, while Kate Nash provides a welcome alt. pop bop. Some other great artists returning to the list with new tracks this week include Strange Dream, Jukebox the Ghost, Jesse Malin, Half Past Two, Dea Matrona, Love Ghost, Robby Hecht, Lana Nauphal, Holly Humberstone, FARR, Telltale, Ordinary Elephant, Shower Beers, F.O.D., Flora Cash, Elbow, Babymetal, Stemmy, tripliciti, Hot Water Music, Tom Webber, Skizzy Mars, Sheppard, Jack, Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners, Peter Bradley Adams, Hermanos Gutierrez and X Ambassadors.
