Jamaican reggae star Greg Nesbeth has faced trials and tribulations on his path to success. Starting his career writing more romantic tracks, the artist grew into more social conscious subject matter. At the pinnacle of his success, with his track “My Dream” being quoted by the country’s newly elected Prime Minister in 2016, Nesbeth also faced the loss of his wife and sister within a short period of each other. Despite these tragedies, Nesbeth continued on his musical journey, and has most recently returned with his latest single “Who’s the Man”.
“They don’t know about me, they don’t know. Look who is the man now” is the simple lyrical theme of the track, yet Nesbeth turns it into an inspirational chorus about proving oneself and uplifting oneself out of hard times. And with the inspiration comes a wonderful melodic flow and easily memorable hook that is like syrupy sunshine.
