New Music Friday: April 5, 2024

This week is insane. It’s one of those release weeks where there really is too much good stuff, and I just hope I have the time to listen to all of it. I don’t have the space to be clever in my writing, so let’s list these out; new albums from Strung Out, Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, Katie Pruitt, Marcus King, Old 97’s, Beatenberg, Khurangbin, Dustin Kensrue, X Ambassadors, Kate Clover, The K’s (read our review here), Bayside, and an EP from Dreamcar!!

That should take up your whole Friday, and leave your Saturday and Sunday for new singles! After ruling the charts with “Heatwave” for a year and a half, Glass Animals are finally back with new music, and we got it in our list. We got new tracks this week from TX songwriter Bob Schneider, indie rock goodness from The Drums, beautiful folk from Iron & Wine and Cary Brothers, pop rock from Guster, punk from Cloud Nothings and Sunliner. We’ve also got the latest songs from Gabriel Birnbaum, The Ghost Club, Judah & the Lion, AKTHESAVIOR & sagun, Alberta Cross, Mansfield, Cold Years, Jeffrey James, Sam Varga, Kamasi Washington (w/Andre 3000), Local Natives, Lizzy McAlpine, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Libertines, Pink Suits, Jalen Ngonda, Cage the Elephant, Anna Graves, Porno for Pyros, The Warning, Lo Moon and Sublime with Rome.

And no matter how packed the list is, we always got to make room for some new blood. This week, discover new artists like Megan Payne, Barrelhaus, Elektric Animals, iNTeRNeT FReNDz, Arrows of Athena, Dover Lynn Fox, Matthew Mayfield, +/-, Lei Hope, Southtowne Lanes, The Hill, Chaser, Robotic Hawks, Margaux, Um, Jennifer?, Rebecca Lappa, Safety First, GRXCE , Ryan Sheridan, Tyler Meacham, A Big Yes And a Small No, Eddie Witz and the Most High, Maïa Davies, Rad Brown & Buffalo Stille, Arto Vaun, Hannah Bowers, Good Neighbours and Brad Miles.
