World Watch: Leepeck

Country: Poland

Warsaw-based artist Leepeck is a multifaceted artist, both a composer and singer/songwriter, a solo artist and co-founder of the band Bohema. And listening to his music, you can tell he’s an old soul. The artist, who has opened for Green Day, released his debut solo album in 2017, and most recently released the gorgeous acoustic track “Am I Free”. “Lay your head, I’ll see you in the stars” he sings in the Dylan-esque folk ballad, singing with a journeyman’s gravitas over delicate fingerpicked guitars.

On past songs like “Sometimes”, he moves from folk troubadour to piano balladeer, singing in a higher key over a mellow arrangement that echoes Coldplay‘s earlier output. Leepeck ability to sing in English has gotten his songs added to playlists and radio stations across the world, but he also has composed songs in his native language, such as the pop-rock number “Dopoki Jestes” and the bluesy duet “Do Utraty Tchu”.

A worldly talent, Leepeck should be on your radar. Listen to a couple of his songs in our World Watch Playlist!
