Check This – M. Vaughan “Tire Swing”

Artist: M. Vaughan

Song: “Tire Swing”

Album: Keep in Touch EP (June 14th)

Label: Super Tuff Records

Genre: Indie, Electronica

Lisbon-New York artist, M. Vaughan recently released his new track “Tire Swing”, employing a simple break beat with vocals, synth, and piano. “Tire Swing” opens with a simple and elegant piano loop: something you might hear from an Anjuna trance song. But then the song casts a break beat rhythm that alters the expectation. The stacked-harmonious vocals then come in.

“I feel like I am falling back down into the trees.”

The song builds with pads and synths. It’s not quite chill wave, because of the break beat. But it has a pleasant sweeping feeling; like slowly flying over a green meadow on a sun drenched day. The artists mentions the feeling of being in a new empty place full of possibility and uncertainty.

“I wrote ‘Tire Swing’ in my first spring in Berlin.”

“Tire Swing” is a new single from M. Vaughan’s forthcoming album Keep in Touch set to release on June 14th of 2024. The EP marks a turn, for the artist, away from club music and more towards emotional indie rock and electronica. Stay tuned for more new music, and check out “Tire Swing” in our Check This 2024 Playlist!
