In just the ten years they’ve been around, Noturnall have solidified their place as one of the biggest bands in Brazilian metal history. The band have gained a massive fanbase in their home country, including a number of scientific journalists, who have shared their fandom by starring (alongside Brazilian late night host Danilo Gentili) in the band’s latest music video for the title track from their 2023 album Cosmic Redemption.
While the days of longer, story-driven music videos may be gone in America, Noturnall have certainly not lost their taste for them. With an asteroid hurtling through space and destined to land on Brazil (much to the President’s disappointment), the only hope for saving the country are Noturnall! The band is enlisted to use their musical muscle to create the sound waves that would crumble the asteroid. Intercut with epic performance footage, the band travels into space to confront their new destiny.
The humor is tongue-in-cheek, the special effects perfectly imperfect, and the song is pure power-metal greatness, with soaring hooks, blistering guitar solos and drums firing on all cylinders. Watch the video above, and stream the track here!
