Sweden’s The John Crow Show have immersed themselves in the “garage boogie rock n’ roll” scene of their home country, applying their 25 years of experience towards creating music that has raw energy and swinging rhythms. The tracks have power and a gritty, underground sound that hits hard. Just listen to single “Velvet Glove” to hear what I mean.
With vocals coming straight out of a 60’s blues rock revival, with enough growl to scare away the faint of heart, and a rollicking rhythm that would have Little Richard dancing, “Velvet Glove” slaps fat and hard. The guitar solo has hints of melodic metal, and the drums create a pure rave-up.
