While A.I. has been a scary subject in the music industry, Israeli creative The New Age Project has embraced it to generate music that combines raw rock energy with cutting-edge innovation. Listening to songs like “Gates of Hell”, a fantastic, hair metal jam, you wouldn’t think you were hearing anything A.I.-assisted.
The song blasts off with big hooks, powerhouse drums and the kind of riffage you’d expect from an 80’s vet of the Sunset strip. Only at times do you hear some effects on the vocals. The project also show it can write a sweeping power ballad like the mournful “Table for Two”, that has all the guitar solo fixings and emotive vocal stylings you would expect.
Not all of the music sounds like 80’s throwbacks – “Healer” has a very modern rock sound, and could easily stand beside Shinedown and Papa Roach on hard rock radio. Take a listen to a couple of the project’s tracks in our World Watch Playlist and see for yourself.
