One can’t hear “O’Doyle rules” and not instantly think of Billy Madison. While clearly the inspiration for the name of this band of D.I.Y. punk rock guys playing music for the joy of it, O’Doyle Rules has since been Adam Sandler-approved, and had a bunch of their catchy pop-punk tunes in films, television shows and video games. The energy and hooks come in spades on singles like their recent jam “I Don’t Give a Fuck About You”.
The drums get your heart racing right away, with speedy riffs and a simple, memorable gang chorus making for a perfect circle pit catalyst. They even throw in some pub rock horns on the bridge that makes the track positively exuberant. It’s a kiss-off song for the ages.
If you don’t find yourself singing the title over and over again after listening to the track in our Bangers of the Week Playlist, I’d be very surprised.
