
And so August ends, and we begin saying our farewells to summer. It was certainly an interesting few months! Here are the albums and songs that we’ll be closing out the season with.
Emo pop-rockers Marianas Trench know their way around a great hook, and you can hear them all over their latest album. Mondo Cozmo has shared the fourth song from his next album, We’ve also got the new one from Tycho (read our review of it here), and the full debut album from Saint Social (read our review of their EP here).
UK songwriter James Bay has dropped the second single from his upcoming album, and the great U.S. pop rocker Matt Nathanson has shared a new song. Foushee continues to impress with the third single from her next LP, and Airborne Toxic Event continue to build buzz for their next one with another new track. Bob Schneider is releasing new songs every week, and I’ve added my favorite one, and The Helltones are continuing their prolific streak with another banger.
Bruce Springsteen has shared his Jesse Malin cover as part of the upcoming charity album, and The Last Dinner Party has shared a Sparks cover. The Menzingers have shared a new track that’s an ode to Chicago, and Bad Operation continue to proudly rep New Orleans with their New Tone sound. Other returning vets this week include Dan Mangan, Public Opinion, Ronny Tibbs, Brackish, Ian Abel Band , Ellysse Mason, JOSÉ JUNIOR, The OBGMs, Blackstarkids, Oceanator, Jack, Anna Graves, Chance the Rapper, blondestandard, Daisy Veacock and AWOLNATION.
