The Fall Music Release Onslaught continues! This week, we’re getting new albums from great songwriters like Christian lee Hutson and JD McPherson, UK bands like Maximo Park and Pale Waves, alternative legends Soul Asylum, and EPs from The Fray, Ski Lift and Brackish (read our review of it here)!
But what seems to eclipse all of these is that we FINALLY are getting new music from The Cure! After gracing almost all of our Most Anticipated Album lists the last 5-6 years, their new album is confirmed to come out on November 1st and the first single is here for you to hear! And that’s not the only major band from that part of the world making a big announcement this week: U2 have revealed they are dropping the “shadow album” to their classic How to Assemble an Atomic Bomb, a collection of unreleased songs from those sessions, and they’ve shared two this week! Oh, and if you’re a Fleetwood Mac fan, you’ll want to hear the latest single from Stevie Nicks.
And of course there are plenty of other noteworthy new songs we have for you this week. Linkin Park continue their return with their new singer with a second song drop, and Primal Scream are back with a cool new song. There’s new alt pop from Beach Bunny and Rubblebucket, and more rock from Me Like Bees. Amythyst Kiah is joined by her producer Butch Walker on her latest single, and folk artist Laura Marling‘s latest is among her best.
Other artists returning to the list this week include Iann Dior, Casual Male, Walter the Producer, tibia, Brother Elsey, Stavro, Melanie MacLaren, Near Beer, Instant Crush, Maris, Joe Samba, Lucy & La Mer, Buffchick, Kids That Fly, Crash Harmony, Fake Dad, EKKSTACY, Carolina Liar, The Interrupters, Authority Zero, Leon Bridges and Jalen Ngonda.
And join me in welcoming Sports Team, Mary’s Lye, Coldwave, Allie, Advance Base, Roger Street Friedman, Jei-Rynn, Red Rosamond, Glosser, Laurel Smith, Oliver Anderson, Moody Joody, Marionette, Rosetta, Sophia Warren, Andy Stochansky, Mustafa, Glass Generation, SAYITAGAIN, Rexford, The Jukebox Romantics and The Mizzerables to our playlist for the first time.
