When you hear “One Man Band”, you usually associate it with a singer-songwriter/folk type artist. It’s hard to imagine it listening to Sam Hauge‘s blistering “Fame You Can Buy”, with its mix of metal guitar solos, fierce drumming, and haunting melodic vocals. And yet, Hauge does it all.
The track is a heavy, sinewy pop punk tune in the vein of artists like Bayside, but with sludgy riffs and electric guitar solos one might expect from Metallica. Hauge drops harmonies over his own vocals to flesh out the sound even further, crafting a perfectly produced banger of a track on his own.
The man is showing up musicians with twice his experience with rockers like this. Get ready to hear the heaviest one man band you’ve heard in a long while in our Bangers of the Week Playlist!
