2024 is wrapping up (and speaking of wrapping, I’m sure most of you are busy getting nostalgic listening to your Spotify Wrapped lists), but there is still great new music to hear before we head into 2025.
It’s been over a year since I saw CHVRCHES‘ Lauren Mayberry premiere her new solo work at The Troubadour, and she’s finally released her debut solo album this week. After releasing live covers throughout the year, Ryan Adams is ending 2024 with another album of new original material, and if you’re up for some very catchy, British pop punk, Wonk Unit‘s new one should please. Power pop artist Dazy dropped a surprise EP, I’m also pleased to introduce you all to a young new folk songwriter from Greece, KATERINA, with her new EP.
Sam Fender is continuing to build up my excitement for his next album by dropping two more songs this week. We’ve got some fantastic new drops from incredible female songwriters like Sunny War, Wildes, Sadie Jean, Samantha Gongol and Anna Shoemaker, and a couple from powerful female-fronted bands like Winona Fighter and Bad Mary.
Hamilton Leithauser has shared a new folksy track, while Thursday have come back again with an epic new rocker. There’s some swanky new indie rock from Inhaler and Michigander, and SYML always brings wonderful peaceful vibes, so listen to his latest and rest easy. And if you’re a fan of the elusive Sky Ferreira, you’ll be excited to hear her new single! We’ve brought back Hozier, David Gray, Ruston Kelly, Jokers Hand, Anna Graves, Advance Base, Drop It First, Endless Dive, M. Byrd, Ghais Guevara, Anxious, Charles “Wigg” Walker, Leighton Fields, Blurry Paige, The Dream Eaters, DWLLRS, Spun for Miles, Oh the Humanity! and Field Medic.
And it’s never too late in the year to discover some new artists.
