When thinking of hot spots for reggae music, Germany may not be the first country you think of. Gyasehene Fire Man may change that. The artists writes and produces a wonderfully spirited and ebullient style of reggae music, with elements of afropop, electronic and folk music added to the mix.
Songs like “Give Thanks” are ebullient, with breezy rhythms and effervescent melodies that are bound to put you in a good mood. “Jahbless” is a more traditional reggae track, with some modern pop elements that would make the song a fiery track in the club. The vocal performance on the track is exceptional, with some true soulful moments.
“Shame on You” brings chill vibes and hymn-like backing vocals, and you can hear some 80’s pop elements in the anthemic “Secret”. The music is well-composed, with excellent flourishes that will draw you in as you listen.
