New Music Friday: March 14, 2025

We’re halfway through March, and happily we can get these excellent new releases on your radar before St. Patrick’s Day tunes take over your playlists on Monday.

One of our favorite modern rock acts Hotel Mira (who just put on another great show at the Roxy last Friday) have shared their infectious new album. If you’re looking for something a little more wild, Coheed & Cambria will surely provide on their latest opus. Charley Crockett‘s unique brand of classic country songwriting stands on its own on his latest album. Giovanni and the Hired Guns have returned with their latest album of Texan alternative rock. For a last batch of fun, Fake Dad have their latest EP out.

Revered political punks Propagandhi are returning with their first new album in years, and shared the fiery first single from it this week. The National‘s Matt Berninger is releasing a second solo album this year, and released the first taste of it for you to hear. There’s two new tracks from Mo Lowda & The Humble, and another one from folk great Stephen Kellogg. Ben Kweller has recruited Jason Schwartzman’s Coconut Records on his new single, while Bon Iver has shared two new songs, one featuring Danielle Haim. And Danielle and her sisters are back with a new Haim single as well.

If you love “dirt emo”, we’ve got the remaining three covers in Ruston Kelly‘s latest EP. The K’s continue to blast bombastic Britpop on their new track, and Ok Go have shared another track with a psychedelic visualizer from their upcoming album. Third Eye Blind have brought us their version of a lullaby, while The Kooks get sunny on their new single. Other Indy Review vets on this week include Strawberry Fuzz, Lucy Dacus, Real Sickies, The Slow Readers Club, Heart Attack Man, FRND CRCL, amilost, Maris, Phoneboy, Jmsey, Wryn, Cumulus, Wyldlife, Pinstock, Abbey Cone, Jade Bird, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Fidlar, Mattstagraham, Jalen Ngonda and Snow Patrol.
