“Gonna make a record in the month of May.”
In the past, Arcade Fire may have made a record in May, but in 2025, they are releasing their latest record then, as their latest comes out this Friday. Joining them are one of my favorite 90’s bands, Counting Crows, who have their full ButterMiracle album out. Folk rockers The Head and the Heart are ready for more success with their new one, while Icelandic band Kaleo deserve some success (if you ask me) with their new one. Jack Van Cleaf has gotten high on our radar in recent months, so excited to have is full new album for you to hear, and beloved Britpoppes The Kooks show they still are doing their thing well on their latest lp. One album that will certainly be huge is the new one from break-out band of 2025 Sleep Token, which dropped today. Also, one of my favorite 2020’s ska bands, Catbite, have their new EP out.
Another beloved folk rock band, Lord Huron, have shared another song from their upcoming album. Avril Lavigne has teamed up with her old friends and touring partner Simple Plan for a nostalgic new pop-punk bop, while Halsey has teamed up with Amy Lee from Evanescence for new track from the Ballerina soundtrack. Alternative eternals Garbage have dropped the second track from their next album, while new wave/soul revivalists Fitz and the Tantrums shared a new song with their album announcement.
Fiona Apple has dropped her first original song in five years, and Matt Berninger has the third song from his next solo album for us. Royel Otis continue their world take-over with their ‘moody’ new song, while Mt. Joy introduce us to “Lucy.” We’re also bringing back Adult Leisure, Alien Boy, Mo Lowda and the Humble, SAVAK, Revivalry, Little Feat, Jake & Shelby, Pierce the Veil, Sunday Junkie, Duncan Lloyd, Adore, Dance Gavin Dance, West Riviera, Chiefland, Yelawolf (with J. Michael Phillips), Sam Varga, Chuckie Brown, Dew Claw, Three Days Grace, Kid Cudi and Caamp with their new tracks this week.
And let us introduce you to Andy Tongren, Sunday (1994), Teen Creeps, Brittany Davis, Naomi Westwater, Billy Woods, Pascale Cheron, Tian Qiyi, Nadia Sheikh, Sunday Junkie, Nate Perry and Ragged Company, Kadavar, Everybody’s Worried About Owen, Lammping, Merrick Winter, and Surunaamio.
