Soul-pop singer Stephen Day and his frequent music partner in crime Allen Stone go door-to-door attempting to sell their “Sheezmah Sweet Iced Tea” in the hilarious video for Day’s new single.
One of three songs being released as a companion EP to last year’s album Gold Mine, “Sweet Iced Tea” has Day and Stone trading smooth, soulful verses about falling for a girl who’s as sweet as a Georgia peach. Musically, the song provides a mix of light country twang and folk stomp, with a breezy rhythm that is perfect for the coming summer months.
And as mentioned above, the video finds the duo finding salvation from a local elderly lady who helps them perfect their sweet tea recipe. With dollar bills flying, executives singing backing harmonies, and a thirsty emu, the video provides plenty of entertainment value on top of the song being delicious ear candy.
