New Music Friday: May 23, 2025

I can certainly say I’m more than ready for this long Memorial Day Weekend. And there’s some great music for you to be blasting over your bbq’s and parties.

Blues legends Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo‘ have brought their TajMo collaborative project back for a second album that will be perfect for blasting from your porch. UK indie rock stars Sports Team will excite all of you anglophiles out there (read our review of it here), and You Vandal‘s latest is pure pop-punk goodness (read our review of that one here). Another solid pop-punk release is the new EP from Old Neon, which we’ll be blasting.

Speaking of pop-punk, the man who helped revive it in the mainstream, Machine Gun Kelly (or MGK these days) is back with the first single from his next album. Turnstile have the fourth song from their next album out, and acclaimed indie band Wednesday are back with their first new music in years. Though his biopic didn’t catch fire (despite being a lot of fun), that hasn’t stopped Robbie Williams from rocketing through with a new, rocking track featuring Black Sabbath‘s Tommy Ionni. Another UK import, Neck Deep, have a new pop-punk banger for us, while US indie rockers We Are Scientists have shared the second single from their next joint.

Green Day have dropped the rest of their new tracks from the Saviors deluxe edition, and beloved Britpoppers Pulp have shared the second single from their new album. Maris‘ new track is a bright pop bop, while Richard Ashcroft is prepping for his slot opening for Oasis with a great new pop rock track. We’ve also brought back Wilby, Hinder, Dispatch, Colony House, Tape Trash, MF Tomlinson, Stemmy, Jont, The Modbeats, Wax Owls, Stephen Kellogg, Templeton Pek, Madison Turner, Eric Sleeper, FRND CRCL, Icarus Phoenix, Stephen McCafferty, lovelytheband, The Band Camino, Andy Frasco & The U.N. and Myles Smith.

And they may be new to the list, but you shouldn’t pass over Peter Manheim, Gavin Tucker, The London Suede, Alaina Stacey, Good Terms, The Grogans, Greg Amici, Ernest Aines, Twirlies, McCabe, Rival Queens, Mark Mallman, YearB4, White Lies, McKay, Bandits on the Run, Bon Bon Vivant, Goldstate, secondSELF, TONY & GRAVEL, Andre Miguel & the Moment, Riding the Low and The Riptide Movement.

Listen to all of this music in our New Music Friday Playlist.
