Many bands dive into retro styles, but few do it in such an eclectic and wildly original style as André Miguel & the Moment. The trio, comprised of frontman André Miguel and vocalists Jackie Bonsignore and Natalie Luna, take inspiration from everyone from James Brown to the Talking Heads, leading to an energetic fusion of sounds that simply works.
Most recent single “CanYaDiggit?” is a rollicking hit. Filled with old school R&B rhythms, girl group harmonies and surf guitar, the track could be a lost B-52’s song or a 60’s obscurity that Quentin Tarantino would gleefully place in a grizzly cinematic fight scene. It’s a little eccentric, a little pop, and a lot of classic rock n’ roll.
