We’ve got an interesting New Music Friday for you folks today. First we’re sharing the latest album from classic singer-songwriter Van Morrison, which has been sounding great based on the first songs released. There’s a new album from insanely-productive Australian group King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards, and from Sunset strip rock veterans Buckcherry. Lastly, we have the return of 70’s Zamrock legends Witch. And The Young Hearts, a great up-and-coming UK group, have dropped their new EP.
Iconoclast David Byrne announced a new album this week, featuring Hayley Williams and St. Vincent, and shared its first single. Beloved songwriters Josh Ritter and Iron & Wine are back with new songs, and All Time Low are hitting us with a SUCKERPUNCH of pop-punk. De’Wayne continues to raise my hype for his new album as he drops its fourth track. There’s new retro rock from The Helltones, and tongue-in-cheek pop rock from Brian Dunne.
Leon Bridges has shared a studio recording of a long-time live favorite, and Twenty One Pilots are giving us a taste of their upcoming new album with “The Contract”. Laura Jane Grace is wearing black to the Pride parade on her new track, while Tyler Childers is keeping his nose to the grindstone on his. Also returning to our list this week are Bruce Springsteen, Marcus King, Biffy Clyro, Curbside, Graham Hunt, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Patrick Wolf, Stay Inside, G Flip, Messenger Birds, blusher, Bones Owens, Trevor Sensor, Pat Hatt, Julia Jade, Tess & The Details, Buick Audra (read the track by track breakdown of her new album), Jordan Maye, Andy Stochansky, Pip Lewis, Yelawolf & J.
