Jeff Noller’s Skittish hopes to makes beautiful music out of bad times. Originally from Minnesota and now bumming around Los Angeles, Skittish creates pop-minded indie music with help of a number of talented friends. On his new song “Mother Nature”, Noller gets singer Deza to lend her pipes to the sweet, folk pop number.
In Noller’s words, “Mother Nature” is about that feeling you get from living, and working, in a city so long that you feel disconnected from what is real in the world. Lines about skyscrapers blocking out the sky and being in the city too long until “everything we knew is gone” certainly will make you feel the weariness of urban life, while the folksy arrangement and harmonies will make you long to be out in the natural world.
