Happy Independence Day (for those of you in the U.S.). For this holiday, we have some very fitting new releases out today.
Celtic punks Dropkick Murphys have dropped their empowering new album of protest anthems today, truly living up to the spirit of what America stands for. And if you read our review of Kesha‘s new album, you’ll know she’s celebrating her freedom and independence with this latest release. We also got a new 3 song EP from Zach Bryan to hold us over until his next album.
After teasing a comeback with a Minor Threat cover, the Foo Fighters made their return official with a new banger this week. Icelandic folk-rockers Of Monsters and Men are back with a new song for the long weekend, as has Kathleen Edwards. Ethel Cain has dropped a sweeping new song, and Charley Crockett continues to do the sound of classic country proud with his latest. Chance the Rapper teams with Lil Wayne and Smino on his new track, and Tyler Childers needs no help on his latest track.
Blast new tunes from some other NMF vets this week like Joy Oladokun, Petey USA, Walter Mitty and His Makeshift Orchestra, Cam, Hillary Reynolds, Earth Farm, ThxSoMch, Jont, Icarus Phoenix, Lot Lizards, Half Past Two, Jesse Daniel Edwards, Casii Stephan, Daniel Rodriguez and Andy Tongren.
And these artists may be new to your ears (but not for long); Pamplemousse, The Albert Square, Perfect 100, Chicago Underground Duo, LAPêCHE, The Honeydogs, Lucigenic, Light and Rain, Matthew Azrieli, LŌWLI, Besphrenz, Bok Suna, White Label, Burntwood, Dads on Couches, Hot Juice (who’s new track we premiered yesterday),
You’ll hear all these tunes in our New Music Friday Playlist.
