Live Report: Geordie Kieffer at El Cid, Los Angeles (June 28, 2025)

Geordie Kieffer closed out his tour at El Cid in Los Angeles a few days ago, bringing a raunchy, dance-fueled romp with him. A friend introduced me to this artist a while back, so when we found out he was performing, we gathered a group to see him live.

Geordie Kieffer is not who he appears to be from his marketing. The image next to his number one Spotify song, “Red Line,” is of a pale, forlorn-looking man with dark cornrows and face tattoos. Another promotional image shows him with a buzzed head and covered in more tattoos all over his body.

The real Geordie Kieffer presents a very different picture. He looks like a young Brad Pitt or Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He wears a shit eating grin and a shredded body underneath a pair of bright blue and orange assless leather chaps with a black and white striped speedo. There was nary a tattoo in sight.

His music is irreverent, catchy, and very fun to dance to. He has self-titled his genre, “Agro Pop.” There is a touch of country twang over his hip-hop rhymes with playful beats that make you bounce. In a politically correct world, it is nice to step into a safe space where taboo ideas can be liberally expressed and celebrated. In his song “Swingers,” he alludes to the idea that it might be nice to sleep with your Mom, and with your Dad too. His song “Drug” rhymes just about every substance you could think of. For his encore, he played a song called “Sex Party” and was joined on stage by Big Sis!

Big Sis is similarly tongue-and-cheek on the greater super ego of society. They are a brother and sister (named Baby and Babie, respectively) from Liverpool-based out of LA, and they have some pretty banging tunes as well. Also, they have an infamous lyric that is slowly working its way through the worlds of music and fashion.

“It took the drugs, and the drugs are working.”
