Looking for some energetic, raw rock from Yonkers? Well, even if you aren’t, you should still check out the single “Black Feather” by Run Thrü Red. The new group just started releasing singles this year, and they are the definition of “bangers”.
The vocals hearken back to 80’s hard rock and hair metal, but the music avoids the posturing and pomp of that era’s music in favor of unfiltered guitars and and bass. The lyrics conjure something mystic (“Black feather flying far away, burning in flames closer to the sun”) while not wading into full-on fantasy storytelling.
