When the band itself is animated, one can expect that their music videos will trend towards that medium as well. Thankfully, new animated ska/reggae/punk band Squeal94 are bringing us fully into their world with their first video for “The Snake Oil Master”.
The Portuguese band weave a story of a cruel snake oil salesman taking advantage of small town folks, and eventually getting his deserved comeuppance, and bring the story to life in the animated clip, full of little nuggets of visual humor and a hopeful commentary that people will see through the lies of these rich con men and overthrow them at some point.
All of this done to a bouncy, ska groove. What’s not to like?
