Bad Dog sound very, very good on their latest single (named after themselves). The Argentine-bred/Spain based duo recorded the track when they were a trio (prior to their drummer leaving), and the track proves you don’t need a lot of people to make a raw and rollicking grunge punk banger.
Stripped do its parts, “Bad Dog” is the kind of pure, relentless rock that is fueled on gutter energy and snarling power. The chorus is melodic enough to stick to your brain follicles, with lyrics like “Not going back to into your basement” becoming a rallying cry for underdogs everywhere. The guitars buzz by with crackling electricity, and the song closes out with a powerful percussive hurrah.
