New Music Friday: November 14, 2025

I hope you all made it through the week okay. The year is getting closer and closer to being over (crazy, right?), but there are still some new albums needing to be heard before we fall into holiday music mode.

Classic rockers Cheap Trick should need no introduction, but if you weren’t aware they were still making albums, then this is your wake up call. Their latest LP is out today. Next, there’s the surprising combo of Mike Patton (Faith No More) and The Avett Brothers, dropping their collaboration album AVTT/PTTN. We also have the new album from post-emo band Ben Quad, and an EP from UK ska duo Death of Guitar Pop.

The Format played a great set at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery here last month, and now they’ve dropped their second new song of this decade from their forthcoming album. We got the third single from Jay Malinowski‘s solo album, and Slightly Stoopid‘s latest with a G. Love assist. Bryce Vine has recruited Goldfinger and Tony Hawk for his take on the ska classic “Superman”, while Nobro are back with an energetic jam. Langhorne Slim is on ‘fire’ with his new one, while 90’s star Donna Lewis has ‘come home” with a new track.

Other familiar names back this week include Saiphon, Boy Golden, Anna Shoemaker, Garfield Mayor, Girl With a Hawk, Eight Feet Fine, Delaney Bailey, Common People, Grade 2, Joe Caruso, Bobby Mahoney, The Neighbourhood, Andy Frasco & The U.N., SYML, Chris Ballew, Matt Pryor, Jean Dawson, Blondshell, Anna Graves and The Bends.

And we’re happy to introduce you to some fresh artists like Precious Pepala, The Runarounds, Torri Weidinger, Ava Franks, Krooked Kings, Orange Gone, Chest, Spin, Genevieve Hannelius, Brenn!, Lonely Little Kitsch, Above the Moon, Endearments, mercury, Mascara, City Flowers, Tom Hamilton, Bailey Spinn, Where’s West, Wishing Well, Oliver Marson, The Sky Chiefs, The Dream Machine, Black Water County, Moon Mother, Plastersun, Louisa Rowley, Every Us and Folk Bitch.
