Drawing from influences like Pink Floyd, Nick Drake and Tame Impala, UK act Hallucinophonics seek to craft immersive soundscapes that explore ethereal textures and sound structures. Launching earlier this year, the band have been dropping musically continuously through the year, recently sharing the art-folk track “Born on a Train”.
The group has said the song explores “the idea of inherited restlessness and the inability to find stillness”, and draws on their Nick Drake influences. The track is a dark, haunting number, building from finger-picked guitars, flute and strings into a stark chorus.
