Being a one-man band is no laughing matter. Being a one-man ska-punk band is on an entirely other level. And that’s what Rude Revolt (currently) is. Though this may change in the future, right now RR is one guy recording all of the instruments for his songs. And listening to “Rocket Fuel”, it appears those songs are bangers.
Some surf guitar sets the mood, before the familiar ska riffs come in with a pure skanking beat. The vocals pop-off, as our singer spins a tale of a girl “getting high on rocket fuel” and “screwing over all her friends”. The horns punctuate the verse stanza perfectly, as the bridge goes into a moody rock steady instrumental.
