Young songwriter Chris Pannella is spending 2026 touring the USA, Japan and Europe after a productive 2025 where he released three EPs. Though the songs on his EP The Four Seasons of Her are demos in his view, he tracked them fully himself, and IMO, a polished studio version of the EP’s final song “Margo” would detract from what makes it special.
Pannella’s vocals exude warmth and emotion, whether at a low whisper or arcing towards the heavens. With just a simple acoustic guitar accompanying him at the beginning, the track is allowed to breathe. When the electric guitar comes in, Pannella’s delivery becomes equally more impassioned and powerful. With echoes of Jeff Buckley, the song speaks volumes with its minimalist approach.
