It’s always nice to have your birthday land on a Friday – especially when that Friday brings you great new albums from artists like Goldfinger, The Format (read my review of it here) and The Lowest Pair! Happy Birthday to me.
The brilliant songstress Holly Humberstone is back with a new track, and Courtney Barnett has been joined by Waxahatchee for her latest single. Canadian favorite sons The New Pornographers shared a first taste of an upcoming release this week, along with the great Donovan Woods, who announced a new EP with his new song. 90’s greats Sugar announced a tour with a new track, and Fantastic Cat dropped a fantastic new song.
Arctic Monkeys have returned with a new jam in support of the War Child charity, and we have the latest from indie darling Snail Mail. The Milk Carton Kids have shared a grand new folk suite, and Van Morrison has surprise-dropped new music (after his last one made our Top Albums of 2025). Hard rock legends Def Leppard have returned, which you can all ‘rejoice’ over.
More familiar names back this week include The Paper Kites, The Fray, Eliza Noxon, Adam Klobi, Derek Smith and the Cosmic Vultures, Train Room, Dharma Guns, Alex Sucks, Dermot Kennedy, Death Lens, Jont, Around About Dusk, Chief State, The Infamous Stringdusters, Precious Pepala, Jaguero, Alberta Cross, Ultrabomb, Pet Needs, Bill Callahan, Rocky Votolato, Matt Hansen, Kashus Culpepper and Tessa Rose Jackson.
And be sure to show love to some of the artists making their first appearances on our list this week like Mega Infinity, Todd Modern, Lauren Wanamaker, St.Arnaud, Radium Dolls, Crimson Riot, Lia Pappas-Kemps, Carter Vogel, The Balla, SJ Hill, Rorey, Homebase, Tim Henson, Imaad Wasif, Superworld, Suzie Ungerleider, Brother Wallace, Rain Diary, Marc Valentine and Tedeschi Trucks Band.
