New Music Friday: February 6, 2026

One month down; eleven to go.

February is kicking off a little light, with only the new albums from Silversun Pickups and Jay Buchanan (of Rival Sons) impacting today (but it’s highly recommended you listen to those ones). There’s also new EPs from Lena Morris and What Will Be.

One of my favs, Hayley Williams, revealed a new band called Power Snatch last week, and we’ve got the first track released on streaming services. We have the second track from Peter Gabriel‘s next album, and punk vets Good Riddance are back with a new banger. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are back after a three year absence with a six and a half minute jam,

Canada’s indie rock heroes Broken Social Scene have announced their new album (the first in 9 years) and dropped a new song, as have their fellow Canadians Metric (and the two will be touring together)! Another great Canadian band, Arkells, shared the third single from their newly announced album, and recent Grammy nominee Sombr is dropping a new song, even as his recent album is still high on the charts.

Classic songwriter Bruce Hornsby shared the title track from his new album, and Ziggy Marley pays tribute to his late father on a special new track. Iron & Wine share more folk beauty, while The Black Keys are back to their bluesy roots on their new single. Young the Giant have returned with a new alternative anthem, and Myles Smith has recruited Niall Horan for his latest single.

We’ve also got back Joseph Arthur, Grrrl Gang, Big Harp, Jupe Jupe, Koyo, Voxtrot, Red Arrow Highway, Dexter and the Moonrocks, In Color, Grade 2, Punchbag, Yilian Cañizares, Snacktime, Sammy Volkov, Jay Malinowski, Imogen Clark, Tigers Jaw, Garfield Mayor, The Boxer Rebellion, The Rogues, Above the Moon, Odd Marshall, Anna Graves, The Warning and Michael Marcagi.

And appearing for the first time on our list this week are Micko & the Mellotronics, Darragh O’Dea, Gracie and Rachel, Dwight + Nicole, Mamas Gun, Ray Bull, Hungry, Matthew Ryan Jacobs, Matt Palka, Sam Grassie, Memorials, Maeve McMahon, and Donnie Vie.
