Is it time for March Music Madness? It seems mad that we’re getting the albums that are out this week. First, after an 18 year hiatus, Gnarls Barkley have made a surprise return with their final album. And next, the long, LONG delayed new album from controversial UK icon Morrissey is finally out. While there’s nothing crazy about the new album from The Brook and the Bluff, it is very good, so we have to share it with you. Folk rockers Sons of Town Hall also impress with their latest album. Finally, we have the final, posthumous album from the great Reese McHenry (read my review of it here). RIP.
Multi-talent Maya Hawke announced her next album this week and dropped its first single. The New Pornographers have a third new song out for all of us, and Sullvn shared a new song with the mighty might Dicky Barrett on it. Stephen Sanchez is going in groovy new directions on his new song, while Northcote‘s latest is a moving acoustic number. There’s another beautiful track out from Malinowski, and a fun pop rock party track from Train.
The legendary Peter Gabriel has the latest song from his next collection, and underground punks Basement have dropped their first new songs in eight years. We’ve got Metric‘s second new track of 2026, and Skindred‘s uplifting third single. G Flip has teamed with The Beaches for her danceable new track, and Low Cut Connie is on fire on his latest political single. Alt country star Sam Barber is continuing to be prolific with his music releases, and rising rocker Bike Routes gets a little help from Jake Clemons on his new single.
Other artists we’ve graced on our list before and are happy to have back this week include Big Thief, Bryan Andrews, Odd Marshall, Teenage Bottlerocket, Oswald Slain, Cashier, Quill, Memorials, Carolina Liar, 37 Houses, Delivery Boys, Bad Operation, Pat Hatt, Ripe, Fast Money Music, Red Arrow Highway, Prince Daddy & The Hyena, Almost Monday, Don Sechelski, Ultrabomb, Jonathan Plevyak, Sidecar, Good Riddance, Igor Lisul, Jacob the Horse, Kurt Deimer and Sammy Volkov.
