It’s an indie punk New Music Friday. After premiering the closing track from the album on Wednesday, today you can check out the full new album from Jacob the Horse. And if you’re a fan of groups like The Menzingers, you should like the new album from Red Arrow Highway (read our review of it here). And if you like your punk on the folkier side, you’ll dig the new EP we have from Black Water County, or if you like it with a Britpop sheen, we have the new EP from Myriad.
UK rockers Muse are back with the first single from their epic next album. as are indie rock titans Death Cab for Cutie. Folk rockers Rainbow Kitten Surprise have a cathartic new song to share with the world, and O.A.R.‘s latest is the opener for their new album coming this summer. Keeping the fine folk rock going is Fantastic Cat, while The Afghan Whigs return with their dark, vicious brand of alternative rock. Brian Fallon has teamed with Madi Diaz for a special cover, and Nine Days‘ John Hampson has dropped a new solo track that’s a pure pop rock bop.
It’s been nearly twenty years since weird and wild indie punks Butthole Surfers released new original music, and they’re ending that drought this week by finally releasing their shelved 1998, sharing a single with the album announcement. Indie ska group Bad Operation have their third new single of the year out, and emo kings Sleeping With Sirens are back with a sharp new cut. There’s new rock from other heavy hitters like Foo Fighters and Young the Giant, and emo from The Cab.
