Yes, there are artists out there who make music strictly for the need to create art. To capture something with real feeling, and raw honesty. Sorry for Interrupting are one of those groups. Right off the bat, the band declares that any profits they make from their music will be donated to the Natural Resources Defense Council, so you know they are simply writing music that speaks to them, and are not chasing pop glory.
That being said, new single “Closer 2” has a rambunctious folk-punk energy that could make it an indie bar sing-along wherever it’s played. Filled with “nah nah nahs” and unfiltered lyrical hooks, the song is a quick, two-minute nugget of acoustic chords and beautifully unpolished vocals.
