New Music Friday: April 10, 2026

What a fantastic New Music Friday it is, with fantastic new albums from artists like Fantastic Cat, Holly Humberstone, The Maine and Joseph Arthur (read our review of the album here). Also excited to share with you the EP from rising artist Josey Wails.

After a long, long wait, The Strokes are finally back, with a new album coming this summer, and a New Wave bop of a single out now. Indie jam band Goose are back with a song indebted to 80’s pop. Deer Tick sound more melodic than ever on their latest single, and Social Distortion have given us the second taste of their long-awaited new album. Kurt Vile new one gives us a “chance to bleed” (musically speaking), while The Lemon Twigs ask us “2 or 3” as only the power pop duo can.

The Alabama Shakes are back, releasing rock n’ roll in the spirit of the ‘American Dream’, and the great Taj Mahal’s latest is a breezy blast. Arkells have joined up with Poolside for their latest track, while American Football get some help from Turnstile‘s Brendan Yates on their latest. Happy to welcome back Foo Fighters, Evanescence, Brook Fox, zzzahara, I Am The Avalanche, Jon Spencer, Human Issue, The High Curbs, Bad Operation, Fink, Tom Emlyn, TV Star, Darragh O’Dea, St.Arnaud, Royel Otis, Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Dogstar, Jensen McRae, Myles Smith, Pleasure Pill, Rorey, Doom Regulator, Patrick Stump, Young The Giant, Iceage and The Bends to the list this week.

And this week you get to discover new artists like Kids Table, The City Feels, Lenka, Moving in Slowly, Ciaran Quigley, ROBIN ROSS & THE MELODYNES, Desperately Seeking Suki, Aubory Bugg, lucky break, The Noise Who Runs, Charlie Vaughan, Violeta Vicci x Bruno Bavota, Zoh Amba, Lala Hayden, proun, Emperor X, Jayler, Biribá Union, Greg Gould, The Falls, Other Brother Darryl, Bay Simpson, Tim Montana, Adam Gaffney, Rough Grind, Jessie Thoreson & The Crown Fire, and Kim McClay.
