Machel Jesus Montano is a Trinidadian singer of soca music, a genre of Caribbean music that originated in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1970s. Machel has been recording for 30 years, and recently has relocated to Los Angeles. He’s recorded with a number of artists, including Major Lazer, and has sold out shows at Madison Square Garden.
