A violinist and vocalist who writes, performs and produces her own music, Sudan Archives found new inspiration from the violin playing style of Northeast Africa. The Cincinnati native released her self-titled debut EP last year, and single “Come Meh Way” landed on a number of high-profile Best Of lists.
Syncopated percussion, violin loops and layered vocals create a unique sound that blends folk and world influences into a song that can’t really be categorized, except to say that it’s very good. Sudan will be playing the Saturday dates of Coachella this year, so make sure to check out her performance.
