Artist: Buscabulla
Song: Tártaro
Album: EP II
Coachella Day: Sunday
Genre: Chill Wave
Channeling the chill-wave sound while incorporating latin and island flavors, Buscabulla (Spanish for “troublemaker”) will be a great way to start your morning at Coachella if you’re feeling fried from the previous two days. The music project of Puerto Rican designer and Brooklyn resident, Raquel Berrios and her partner Luis Alfredo Del Valle, the duo won a Guitar Center contest to have their album produced by Dev Hynes, and recently released their second EP, appropriately titled EP II.
The first song on the album, “Tártaro”, is a relaxed, twinkling track Berrios carrying a dreamy melody over Caribbean percussion and light synths. The lyrics are all in Spanish, so I personally can’t tell you what the song is about, but if you were to turn this on while laying in a hammock by the ocean, you would feel the song all the same.
