New Music Friday

First Friday of March! I must first bring some attention to a great album I missed last week: Femi Kuti‘s One People One World. If you’re a fan of Afrobeat, world music, or interested in listening to something new and different, I highly recommend it.

As for the new music this week, I’ll be sampling the new album from Australian band Ball Park Music, talented indie pop group Lucius, the retirement album of folk legend Joan Baez, the debut from buzzing rock group Mt. Joy. We also get new singles fro CHVRCHES, Jack White, Matt Costa, Lit (who have sort of gone country), and a posthumous Johnny Cash cover by Chris Cornell.
